There is so much thought that goes into these Amel Maramu boats, they really are full of intuitive ideas, practical functionality, and well thought out simplicity! Like the clever swing over back seat on the Starboard side saloon bench, which swings over to act as a lee cloth for a nestled in and comfortable sea berth! And that's just the beginning.

I was very impressed when I viewed this boat to list her, she has been well maintained, and has just sailed into Rebak Marina, in Langkawi, where her live aboard owners are beginning the process of packing her up and putting her on the market . 

Amel are renowned  for their excellent sailing capabilities, whist offering plenty of space, and protection with this deep centre cockpit and "pilot house" like steering station.

The Amel Maramu 46 is Henri Amel and Jacques Carteau designed, and Chantiers Amel built. Amels exclusive one piece/cellular Fibreglass construction wherein the hull and deck are laminated together forms an incredibly strong and trouble free structural unit.

The 46 Maramu is truly a classic, ready to circumnavigate shorthanded or single handed. 

Mahiti has had a professional, fresh topside paint, as well as deck paint. The North sails that were bought in 2020 have barely been used. There is no question about power on this boat, with ample solar power, alternator, wind generatorand a lithium battery bank to store all that energy! She can potentially sleep 7 easily. This boat has plenty of seating options: safety in the cockpit, lounge areas on the secured king size cushions on the aft deck, and plenty of room on the front deck.

The heralded Amel hard dodger protects the helm station from both sun und spray and keeps those on watch happy, dry, and comfortable even in extreme weather. A large, easily fixed and easily stored cockpit table, can be interchanged with the smaller "coffee table" for dining for 6, or in the case of the current family, the homework table. Downstairs, the port side saloon sofa can easily convert to a large double bed, the dining table can be raised ( or folded), and also extended, to seat 10 around the saloon table. The forward vberth can be used as 2 single berths, or alternatively filled in with custom cushions, to become a large double berth. For a centre cockpit yacht with an internal walkway, there is plenty of headspace in the passage way, leading through to a bright, spacious double berth, private head, and a small vanity/ table, and extra comfortable seating. There is a large amount of storage through out the boat, and plenty of natural light and ventilation. 

MAHITI is Australian registered with taxes paid.

Mahiti is a fine example of a great, no nonsense blue water cruiser. She is safe, strong and easy to maintain. Being an Amel she is constructed to a very high standard, and very low maintenance. She is equipped for long distance cruising single handed or with the family. She is ready to go!

Currently she is berthed in Rebak Marina, where residents get full use of the resort facilities, such as the swimming pool, private beach, bars and restaurants, and tennis courts. You are already on holiday as soon as you arrive. Langkawi is also tax free, making a change of ownership very simple. Truly a fabulous place to begin your new adventures, and get to know your new boat in the safety of the tropical archipelago, before ( literally) testing the waters and heading to Thailand, or further afield, across the Indian Ocean, or East, through Indonesia, and onward to Australia. Deck Gear :Davits Custom Stainless Cranes: For outboards etc installed with davits. 12 - 8 self tailing in good condition. The main cockpit winches have new crowns and caps BBQ, boarding ladder Rain catcher: 1 Cockpit at rear deck cushions are new 2020

Remarks :

The boat completed 1 complete circumnavigation, went back to Amel factory in France where traded in for another Amel. Second owner had Amel bow thruster fitted and refit at factory prior cruising Atlantic and Pacific to Australia. Major refit in Australia 2004 to 2006 inc engine works, electronics refit 2007 - 2011. Purchased in Australian in 2013 by current owner. Cruised PNG and SE Asia. Major external refit in 2017 in Malaysia including all external fittings and hatches removed and replaced or renewed. Professional respray under supervision of experienced English spay painter.

Recently relocated to Malaysia from Thailand. Mahiti has been In Asia since 2016. Last antifoul was done in January 2024 at Port Takola Krabi. Antifoul : Seaforce 90
