Brand new on the market, this Cutter rigged, 1996, Island Packet 40, is a perfect liveaboard world cruiser.
"Enchantment" is laid out for comfort, stability, and ease of sailing.
She has new electronics ( 2023), rigging replaced ( 2016) and a brand new Yanmar 53 hp diesel engine, installed in 2023.
She only has 107 hours on the odometer. !
Below decks she has charm and style. Her dusky teak cabinetry's sets of a feeling of warmth, and security, complimenting the new upholstery. The galley, to starboard is spacious and comfortable, with all that is needed for cooking and entertaining, and bracing safely under passage. To port there is a large double cabin, the mattress stretching deeply into the centre of the boat beneath the cockpit. A head and shower jointly services both this aft cabin and the saloon. The Island Packets signatory drop down saloon table secures on the bulkhead, and the saloon area easily accommodates 8 people, as well as supplying two extra berthing areas. Forward is the Pullman double berth, nestled to starboard, with an ensuite forward peak head and shower unit. Headroom through out ranges from 6 ft to 6.5 ft.
There is an amazing amount of storage, and ventilation.
The cockpit sole teak was replaced in 2022, as well as the step on pads on both port and starboard sides. The drop down clears protect from rain, and the full cover canvas bimini joins the dodger to fully enclose the cockpit and protects you in all weather. High coamings and a large lazarette allows access to the mechanical gear for the autopilot.
Enchantment has luxurious inboard Airconditioning, a water maker, and in mast furling. She is a 110 V boat.
She is currently in her second ownership, and has been lived on and loved, full time, by these owners for over 18 years.
The current owner is extremely sad to part with her, but wants, most of all, for her beautiful boat to be as loved as they have loved her.

Vessel history: 1st owner : daysails, Bermuda
2nd owner: sailed Carribean + East coast USA for 4 years.
Then in 2010 left Maryland USA, and sailed SE coast, Bahamas, etc to Panama Canal, across Pacific to NZ, Fiji, Vanuatu, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand (cruising Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand now for 8 yrs)
