Poppycat has had a surge of loving input in the last few years, being a boat that was bought at the beginning of COVID, which was a passionate purchase by her owner. Since she arrived at the end of 2021, the owner has not stopped pouring in the love, and has had 2 wonderful seasons on her, sailing in the Langkawi archipelago  and then up the West Coast of Malaysia and Thailand. What a fabulous place to begin your cruising adventures, and Lagoons are the perfect boats for coastal cruising, with the added capability of going further afield at any time.

Poppycat is currently based in the stunning Rebak Marina Island Resort, where Marina residents have full access to the resort pool, private beach, tennis courts, and bars and restaurants. The comrade in the marina is second to none, with an extremely safe and secure environment to learn from and share with others over a few cool beers.

 

Poppycat is an OWNERS version Lagoon 380 catamaran. She has NEVER been in charter.

One entire hull is dedicated to the owner, with the fore and aft double bed in the aft of the boat, a small office mid ships, and then the head, and spacious walk in dedicated shower area in the bow. The Saloon and Galley are an integrated open space, with a curved seating area and table the seats 6-8 people. The windows and sliding door between the cockpit and the galley fully open up to create an "indoor/outdoor' area that melds together the protection of the saloon with the life on the ocean. It is truly a 360 deg experience, with the famous Lagoon 

widows, which allow for optimum viewing, sunlight and airflow.

Recently, she has had a complete set of new clears and a drop down cockpit tent custom made,  to fully enclose the cockpit area, a new boom bag, and her sacrificial strip on the Genoa replaced. She has a  brand new Rainman watermaker, and a new tender and outboard, along with new solar panels. She also has a new autopilot, log instruments, transducer and wind instrument. She was freshly antifouled in 2022.

The original owner from Texas sailed her on Clear Lake and the Gulf of Mexico before selling her in 2010 when she cruised throughout Florida and the Caribbean. In 2011 her Australian Owner then shipped 'POPPYCAT back to Brisbane where he used her as a holiday home on Moreton Bay.
The third owners were experienced offshore cruisers who cruised her from East Australia via Indonesia, Singapore, to Langkawi, where she was sold in 2016. Her fourth owner has sailed on her throughout Thailand and Malaysia and used her predominately in the archipelago of Langkawi. Sold again in 2021, she has been lightly used, and based mainly in Rebak Marina, Langkawi. Her current owners have decided that cruising the cooler waterways of the UK, and Europe, on their Monohull, where they are closer to family, suits their current plans.
