Seaspray Marine Langkawi is proud to announce their newest listing. Presenting, Escape Velocity! A fully equipped, ready to go blue water MANTA 40 sailing catamaran. Manta Catamarans have an avid following and dedicated owners group and support network. These American built yachts are ocean capable and ready for serious offshore cruising, with minimal maintenance. The port hull is a dedicated owner's double cabin which includes a private head with a luxuriously sized separate shower. They sleep 4 comfortably in 2 staterooms on queen-sized beds. A third standard bed sized cabin is forward, on the starboard hull. The main salon on the bridge deck contains a well-equipped kitchen area, top-loading refrigerator/freezer, nav-station, electrical panels, dining area, and entertainment centre.
Escape Velocity is well-maintained and fully-equipped for extended off-grid world cruising and comfortable living at anchor. Her current owners have cruised on her through the Pacific, and have lived on board during 9 wonderful years of adventure. Escape Velocity has the added attraction of an elevated 8 ½ foot seat aft of the cockpit, where you can easily stretch out and take in the views, or relax and rest on anchor. She has a Spectra watermaker, a washing machine, inboard air-conditioning, a Nextgen 5.5kw genset, a Kuuma hot water system, and a brand new set of batteries, and ample solar input. The owners are proudly living and supporting all power usage off grid, even in a marina!
Her rigging is under 10 years ( new in 2014) her sails are 7 years old, and her engines have also both been replaced at different times, so neither engine is original. Port was replaced in 2006 and starboard in 2018.
This truly is a rare opportunity to walk on board a well loved, fully ready to go vessel, currently berthed in one of the worlds most beautiful cruising grounds. Exceptional dedicated care and passion to their home truly shines through when you are introduced to Escape Velocity, and she is a great credit to her current owners, and those before them. I look forward to introducing you to her, by virtual tour, videos and WHATS app chats.
