Nahanni SV, a cutter rigged 1989 Tashiba 40, built by the Ta Shing Boatyard in Taiwan, is now exclusively for sale with SYS Yacht Sales, Rebak Island Marina, Langkawi.
Nahanni SV is a classic legendary Robert Perry designed Blue Water cruiser. Nahanni SV is a very solid sea kindly cruising yacht, well maintained and guaranteed to turn heads in any anchorage.
Raised bulwarks, a wrap-around cockpit and a spacious, warm interior make them desirable for long distance cruising and a fully immersive live aboard lifestyle. TASHIBA's offer a great, solid sailing performance, along with warmth and character, and a charm like no other.
Welcome aboard:
Stepping down the companionway steps, Nahinni SV opens up into a home that is functional and immediately inviting.
The aft stateroom is over head height with a spacious walk in area, and has a berth that is beamy and comfortable with ample storage space and cabinets. The salon area nestles a large U-shaped settee to port and straight settee to starboard. There is storage behind the seat backs and in lockers above and outboard. Dining is off of a pedestal table that could drop to berth height to allow this settee to be used as a generous double berth.
The navigation and communications area to starboard is accessible and practical. To port there's a well laid out U-shaped galley which features copious amounts of storage for galley ware and dry food stuffs in several drawers and lockers, deep double basin stainless steel sink. Cooking is handled off the Force 10 gimballed three burner propane stove with oven. There is a large well insulated Novacool fridge plate.
In the forward cabin, there's a very large comfortable king size berth, with plenty of storage, large Lewmar Ocean series hatch provide plenty of light and airflow. There is lots of additional storage under the V and with a large closet to the portside.
To port is the bathroom, offering a seperate stall shower and a wash-basin/head area that is bright, airy and clean.
Headroom is a generous 6ft 5 inches throughout most of the boat.
The deck layout all makes for easy comfortable sailing, where her side decks are wide and navigable. Her stainless cockpit rails and solar arch offer security and safety. And her deep cockpit is a comfortable space for 4-6 people.
The owners of Nahanni SV have owned her for 17 years. In 2016 they undertook an extensive refit on the boat. This included a complete repaint of the mast, the cockpit and the topsides (all done professionally at Pangkor Marina, in top quality Awlgrip paint). Also the teak deck was replaced professionaly with Burmese Teak, as well as a new bowsprit custom made from 1 piece of Merbau hardwood. Mechanically, her Yanmar is clean with low hours, having had a complete rebuild in 2016 and with regular routine maintenance. Her main sail is barely used, being brand new in 2019 along with a new dodger, bimini and Stack Pack. Her rig was completely checked when the mast was painted, all plumbing fittings were replaced as needed, and new chain plates were installed. She has been well loved and cared for by her current owners.
Nahanni SV is new to the market, and priced to sell!
Please contact us at SYS in Langkawi for more information and we look forward to giving you a walk through online, or in person, by appointment.
