Make no mistake this yacht is set up for independent world cruising. She is a fast passage maker which has shown to frequently well exceed 200 nm in 24 hrs. She is strong, stiff, stable and responsive! A true sailors boat. She has been set up for short-handed sailing and everything can be done safely, 2 handed, with ease. The current owners have just arrived in Langkawi, Malaysia, after cruising Australia and Indonesia during a 3 year sabbatical, which sadly has come to an end as they had to return to work.

Allusive III is a twin wheel designed open cockpit cruiser. Her deck saloon is bright and airy, with a welcoming and safe environment for harboring from the elements whilst underway. The saloon seating and table is on a raised platform, allowing for virtually 360 degree views. She easily seats 8-10 people. Her two aft cabins as well as port side midships cabin, are all used as berths, and set up for sleeping and living. However, take your pick as to which one may become your storage room, or surfboard stowage. Her v berth master bedroom is luxuriously furnished, with a large queen bed, and the entire boat has ample light and ventilation.

This vessel is well known in Australia. In her previous life as a racing boat, she competed in the 1998 and 1999 Sydney to Hobart races with her first owner. She was raced and cruised extensively by the second owner throughout Tasmania, in which time she won the Launceston to Hobart race. Her second owner also cruised extensively along the east coast of Australia, Vanuatu, and PNG. The current, third owners, added further cruising comforts to make Allusive a dedicated cruising boat and they have cruised as a family of four, from Tasmania, throughout southern Australia, the east coast of Australia, throughout outer islands of the Great Barrier Reef. They spent almost 12 months cruising remote Indonesia and into Thailand and Malaysia.
She is currently on the hard stand in Rebak Marina, getting some cosmetic touch ups and is now ready for a fresh coat of antifoul, and ready to sail across the Indian Ocean, the Red Sea or enjoy the beautiful waters of Southeast Asia.
